Our Story
We’re Carlos and Melissa, a couple of food enthusiasts with a love for everything Portuguese. Originally from New Jersey and Massachusetts, we grew up surrounded by rich Portuguese culture. In 2018, we moved to North Carolina, only to find that the Portuguese food scene was a bit lacking. But instead of shying away, we took it as an exciting challenge and started seeking out every bit of Portuguese flavor we could discover.
Guess what? We weren’t the only ones! Many Portuguese food lovers in America shared our craving for a taste of home. So, we asked ourselves: Why isn't there a go-to spot for finding and supporting Portuguese businesses across the U.S.? E pronto, João's List was born!
